1. Throw the dice at the Monte-Carlo Casino .
It doesn’t get more glamorous than this. Dig out your best black tie and find your way through the melee of Ferraris parked outside the front, for the ultimate Monaco experience.
2. Book into the Fairmont for the Grand Prix .
Even if you think you hate racing cars, Monaco is the one place guaranteed to change your mind. And the Fairmont hotel with its roof top terrace over looking the hairpin is the place to watch from. Packages start at 6,975 Euro for five nights.
3. Sip a Princess Grace cocktail at the stylish Columbus hotel .

4. Check out a live band at Moods .
With a funky program of live music ranging from jazz to blues and soul and situated at the very heart of Monte-Carlo, next to the Place du Casino this is a great place to visit just on its own or before hitting some of Monaco’s other late night clubs.
5. Go to the Cannes Film Festival .
On from 14 – 25th May, this is a staple of the A-list calendar. Soak up the mood with drinks on the harbour.
6. Take a walk around the Monaco port .
Filled at this time of year and throughout the summer with incredible ‘gin palaces’, a summer’s evening stroll is the perfect way to end the day. Alternatively moor your own yacht there for a unique holiday experience.
7. Have dinner at Place du Prince in the Old Town .
If you want a more relaxing evening, head up to the cobbled streets of the old town, explore some of the little tourist shops, grab coffee in a quiet bar and then relax with dinner on the terrace of one of the many wonderful restaurants.
8. Visit the Palace .
No trip to Monaco would be complete without seeing the Prince’s Palace. Taking you through the history of the Prinicipality, attractions include; the Throne Room, where historic festivals and ceremonies have been held since the XVI century, the Palatine Chapel built in the XVII century and the main courtyard, paved with 3 million white and colored pebbled forming immense geometrical patterns.
9. Enjoy the scent of the Princess Grace Rose Garden .
On a slope close to the Fontvieille Park is the Princess Grace Rose Garden. It is a quiet spot, fragrant with the scent of some 4,000 rose trees, some of which are the work of leading European and American specialists. Take a stroll in the sun and enjoy.
10. Go to the opera .
The stunning opera house has been home to countless classic performances since its opening at the end of the nineteeth Century. There isn’t a more classy way to take in Monaco life.

Getting to the Principality from the UK is easy. Three airlines fly from London to Nice Côte d'Azur Airport:
- British Airways offers four flights daily from London Heathrow and two from London Gatwick
- BMI offers two flights daily from London Heathrow
- Easy Jet offers five flights daily from Luton, three from London Gatwick and two from London Stansted.
