Women’s Health in Business

The first international conference on women's health in business is to be held in London this spring.

An elite 250 leading women in business will be the first to learn about the groundbreaking advances in women's health and future international health business trends.

World experts in Fertility, Ageing, Genetics, Stress Management, Futurology and Nutrition will hold interactive sessions designed to make vital life-saving information easily accessible.

Time is precious and the conference joint Chairs UCL's Professor Ian Jacobs and Stargate Capital's Herta von Stiegel, have designed the day to empower women to take control of their health. Participants will discover this is as easy as making a few, small but effective proven lifestyle changes. They will also be able to learn about some of the crises facing less fortunate women in the developing world and how they can help.

"We spend our working lives planning our business and taking the future into account. It is just as important to do the same with our health. It's surprising how much more effective we can be if our health and the health of our employees is at optimum performance", commented Herta von Stiegel

Speakers at the event will include:

  • Baroness Ruth Rendell, Best-selling "Queen of Crime" writer – who is a campaigner against Female Genital Mutilation
  • Professor Jane Plant – on her innovative anti-cancer diet
  • Marisa Peer – Psychotherapist and Hypnotist featured on Celebrity Fit Club, who will give tips on Executive Eating on the go – how to stay at optimum performance and keep off excess pounds - without dieting.
  • Dr Sarah Harper - Director of the Oxford Institute for Ageing will reveal the latest evidence about women and ageing.
  • Leading Stress release experts will give practical tips and exercises on how to reduce your personal stress levels and how to create healthy harmonious working environments.
  • Late life babies – what are your chances? This will be debated by Dr Wendy Denning, who has had her first child in her late 40s and Dr Sarah Harper who has twins from frozen embryos. What are the real statistics?

The conference is being held on 7 th April 2008 at the Queen Elizabeth II conference Centre, London.
