Stoke Park club is a Grade I listed house with beautiful grounds, an impressive 27-hole golf club, boating lake and a starring role in Bridget Jones's Diary. If you can't quite place it, this is the hotel where Hugh Grant takes a windswept Bridget on a mini-break.

Located within easy reach of London, you will find yourself driving up a picturesque and magical tree-lined driveway leading to this beautiful stately mansion designed by the architect of King George III. The house entrance is spectacular and once you've climbed the stairs you will surely admire the view of the golf course, with yet another another movie claim-to-fame. For this is where James Bond had that famous round of golf with the dreaded Goldfinger.

At the top of a grand staircase, the rooms are staggeringly gorgeous with huge oak-timbered four-poster beds, luxurious furnishings, including a beautiful red velvet sofa and enormous windows with spectacular views across the grounds. The glamorous marble bathrooms are equipped with under-floor heating, over-flowing baths, twin sinks and luxuriously fluffy towels.

The Stoke Park Club Spa is separate from the main house and provides the ultimate in luxurious pampering. A private atrium with a stunning five metre tropical aquarium, an indoor swimming pool, deep relaxation rooms and Italian marble steam rooms are just some of many spa facilities that members and non-members can enjoy. The gym is gigantic and there are indoor tennis courts too. Stoke Park also has its own treatment and skin care range - SPC, which sits alongside the likes of Aromatherapy Associates, Ytsara, Bare Escentuals and Crystal Clear. The SPC product range contains only pure and natural ingredients, which were carefully selected for their rejuvenating, hydrating and antioxidant properties. There are many treatments available on offer from balancing facials, hydrotherapy baths to sports massages.

At the bottom of a sweeping staircase, the restaurant, though small given the vast size of the house, is inspiringly decorated with features such as leopard print and purple velvet accents. The seasonally varied and locally sourced menu is a combination of classical British with Mediterranean influences. A fantastic array of choices enable you to choose to be as healthy (or not) as you wish.
