Coutts announces launch of next financial course for children

Coutts has announced that following the success of last year's 'Assets and Responsibilities' course for children of Coutts clients, it will be launching two more two and a half day courses for 17-25 year olds, this summer.

The aim of the course is to help young people to acquire the skills required to understand assets and investments, develop an interest in managing their wealth and a sense of social responsibility and learn to consider themselves as an asset.

This year each of the courses will be tailored, one focused on client's children still studying and one focused for those who have already gone into the world of work.

Fiona Fenn Smith, who heads up the course at Coutts commented: "Last year the course was very popular, however we noticed a marked difference between those who were still studying and those who had completed their studies, in terms of their outlook, motivations and areas of interest.

"Therefore we have this year tailored the courses for each of those groups, to ensure that they are learning about areas of most interest and relevance to their own stages of life."

The course will this summer be held in London between 30th June and 4th July and will cover the following modules:

1. Financial Awareness - spending, saving and investing:
2. Creating Assets - How to set up and manage your own enterprise and the risks involved
3. Social Responsibility - how to take an active part in philanthropy
4. Human Assets - including presentation skills and 'reputational risk'

If you are a client and would like further information about this course, please email Antoinette.santamaria@coutts.com . If you are not a client but would be interested in finding out more about joining Coutts, please call 020 7753 1963.
